White Horseradish is a perennial plant from the Brassica family, cultivated for its root that is used in cooking. The grated horseradish root is used as as condiment (especially as a substitute for mustard). It has a very strong flavour that's spicy and peppery. White horseradish is perfect with numerous recipes including all types of cold, raw, or smoked fish, and is delicious when mixed with crème fraîche in sauce.
